Sylvia Lynn Shannon, age 75 of Springfield passed away unexpectedly Saturday, November 30, 2024 at Hendersonville Medical Center. She was born May 27, 1949 in Rio Dell, California to Harold Russell & Mildred Houston Finley. She worked in sales for Uptown Wine and Liquors in White House. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She loved watching the hummingbirds, flower gardening and taking trips to California. She attended Temple Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her parents; granddaughter, Kimberly Williams; great-granddaughter, Aria Vickers. She is survived by her loving husband of 35 years, Robert Shannon, Springfield, TN; son, Brandon Roose, Springfield, TN; daughters, Rahnie (Jon) Wood, Carmichael, CA and Stephanie Smith, Goodlettsville, TN; brothers, Randy (Kathy) Finley, Yoncolla, OR and Kris (Corrina) Finley, Little Rock, AK; 7 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren. A memorial service is being planned and this obituary will be updated when those arrangements are finalized.
