Sylvia Janette Johnson, age 89 of the Helicon Community, passed away September 27, 2022 at the Folsom Center in Cullman.
Sylvia was born on January 25, 1933 to Gilbert and Vera Hale.
Visitation will be Wednesday, September 28, 2022 from 5:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Nichols Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held Thursday, September 29, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Liberty Cemetery, Helicon Community. Karmie Johnson and Jay Hale will officiate.
Sylvia is survived by her daughter, Reda Johnson Wilson; grandchildren, Karmie Johnson, Kimberly Johnson (Jason) Douglas, Karla Johnson (Tre) Thomas, Adam (Kim) Johnson, and Julie Johnson (Justin) Cornelius; 12 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Rufus Carmon Johnson; sons, Jimmie Wayne Johnson and Timothy Carmon Johnson; granddaughter, Michelle Nicole Wilson Ferry; grandson, James Matthew Wilson; three brothers; and one sister.
