Sylvia Field Smith, 73, died Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2016. Public viewing will be 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Thompson and Son Funeral Home, Florence. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. The funeral will be noon Thursday at St. James Missionary Baptist Church, Florence, with burial in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Florence. The body will be placed in the church one hour before the service.
