Syble Joyce Webb Syble Webb, 94, of Huntsville AL passed away June 11, 2023.

She was born August 8, 1928 to Fleet and Bertha Oswalt in Fayette, AL.  She is predeceased by her parents, brothers Aaron and James “Bow”, sisters Audra and Signa and a niece Beverly “Toolie.”

Syble was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend to many.

Syble is survived by a son, Aaron Webb (Tina) and two daughters, Shelli Kirby (Jonathan) and Jane Burchfield, her grandchildren Emily, Victoria, Paul, Katy, Ray (Laci), Keith (Lindsay), Scott (Macey), Terre (Lexi) and great-grandchildren Braxton, Gianna, and Weston.

She graduated from Fayette County High School, moved to Birmingham and worked at Loveman’s.  She later worked at BF Goodrich in the Accounting Department and Olympia Mills on the line.

She loved animals and they loved her.  Most of the photos of her include a dog or cat.

Syble taught three-year old Sunday school at Circlewood Baptist Church (Tuscaloosa) for more than 20 years.  She made many lifelong friends at Circlewood.  A great cook, she was known for her Sunday fried chicken with homemade biscuits and milk gravy.  Syble rose early on Sunday mornings and cooked a full lunch before going to church.

From her years teaching Sunday School at Circlewood Baptist, to the time spent taking care of her babies at Three Bears Child Care in Tuscaloosa, to the many visits by the grandchildren to Grandma’s house, it was very clear that her passion was her love of children.  She loved to talk about and visit with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  It was then that she was truly in her element.

The family would like to thank Hospice Family Care for their loving support of our family.

The family will visit with friends at Jonathan and Shelli’s house from 10:00 to noon on Saturday June 17th

In honor of Syble and her love of children, donations to Children’s of Alabama through the below link is requested in lieu of flowers.
