Sybil Sue Deerman Wright, 78 of Decatur, formerly of Arab, died Wednesday September 28, 2016 at her residence.
Mrs. Wright was born September 28, 1938 in Marshall County to Henry Deerman and Laura Jane Leak Deerman. She was a homemaker. She moved to Decatur, Alabama from Arab in 1984.
She was a member at Old Brashiers Chapel United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Donald F. Wright; three daughters and sons-in-law: Donna and Mike Hasty, Melissa and Scott Leslie and Teresa and Scott Hendrix; six grandchildren: Chase Johnson, Brett Leslie, Cody and Bayleigh Hasty, Seth and Lindsay Mullins, Matthew Leslie and Aaran and Megan Mullins; great grandchildren: Allison Mae Mullins, “Connor Michael Hasty-due in January” and one sister Linda Pearce.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday October 1, 2016 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel. Burial will be in Brashiers Chapel Cemetery with Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel, directing.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Chase Johnson, Brett Leslie, Cody Hasty, Seth Mullins, Matthew Leslie and Aaron Mullins.
Visitation will be 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. Saturday October 1, 2016 prior to the service at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel.
