SHEFFIELD – Swampette Judy Hood (What? You don’t know what “Swampette” means? Probably are a Millennial…) conducted the first tour of ย the year of the epic Muscle Shoalsย studios this past weekend. And this year is “The Year” to tour these historic venues of Rock, Soul, Funk, and Rhythm & Blues…
Some lucky folks on Saturday’s tour, in addition to seeing the world-renowned FAME Studios, were the first to see the almost-finished restoration of 3614 Jackson Highway,ย homeย of the legendary Muscle Shoals Sound Studios.
Come Summer, 3614 will be finished with state-of-the-art analog and digital recording equipment. And according to some studio insiders, the list of recording artists who plan to go there to re-live those gloryย days in some old time rock ‘n roll, is quite impressive.
