Suzanne Elizabeth Guse Morrison – Obituary

SuszanneSuzanne Elizabeth Guse Morrison passed away Thursday, May 16, 2013 in Huntsville, Alabama. Mrs. Morrison was born February 19, 1928 in Indianapolis, Indiana, the daughter of Arthur and Carolyn Pehrson. She was united in marriage to Charles R. Guse on June 2, 1950 in Indianapolis. They resided in Rushville, Chicago, Columbia City and Michigan City. Dr. Guse proceeded her in death January 31, 1978. Mrs. Guse married Richard Morrison on April 12, 1980 at First United Methodist Church in Michigan City. They retired to Navarre, FL where he died September 19, 2001.

Suzanne received a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Butler University and wrote a column for the Michigan City Dispatch. She loved to travel, play cards, cross stitch and was an avid reader.

She is survived by her children Daniel (Carol) Guse in Fort Wayne, IN; William Guse in Michigan City, IN and Marlana (Wil) Good in Huntsville, AL and six loving grandchildren – Melissa, Andrea, Charles, Benjamin, Dalana Nicole and Savannah.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 25, 2013 at 10:30am Central Standard Time in the new chapel at Swan Lake Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 5700 East U.S. Highway 20, Michigan City, IN with gravesite services following. The Reverend Dr. Gwen Roberts from First United Methodist Church will officiate.
