Suzanne Branum Tingle of Huntsville, age 72, passed away peacefully on September 6, 2024. She was a beloved mother, sister, and friend. Suzanne was born January 27, 1952 in Coronado, California. After living around the country during her father’s military career, Suzanne moved with her parents to Huntsville, Alabama in 1965. Suzanne attended the University of Alabama and was a member of Alpha Omicron Pi sorority. She completed her degree in economics at the University of Alabama in Huntsville. She worked as a bookkeeper and computer programmer until becoming a full-time homemaker and stay-at-home mom who was an active school and Girl Scout volunteer. Later, she worked for a local florist in Huntsville. Suzanne enjoyed spelunking, hiking and backpacking, and was a member of the National Speleological Society. She was a member of Holmes Street United Methodist Church.
Suzanne was preceded in death by her parents, Rudolph (Rudy) Branum and Betty Lou McLaughlin Branum.
She is survived by her daughter, Kristie Lea Tingle, spouse, Donald Tingle, and two brothers, Richard “Dick” (Kay) Branum and Jerome “Jerry” Branum. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Linda Branum, 2 nieces, 3 nephews, 9 great nieces and nephews, and many other close friends and relatives.
