MADISON-Sheriff Blake Dorning of the Madison County Sheriff’s Office issued a statement regarding an arrest of a suspect On Arson Charges from a fire that occurred on Thursday,  August 25:

“Sheriff Blake Dorning announced today that on Thursday evening, August 25th at approximately 10:35 pm Patrol Deputies responded to a mobile home fire in the 300 block of Manly Rd. Upon arrival, County Fire units were already battling the fire at this residence.

A preliminary investigation indicated arson may be the cause. A Sheriff’s Office Arson Investigator responded to the scene to conduct an arson investigation. At the conclusion of preliminary investigation, a suspect was developed.

Patrol Division Deputies made contact with Christopher Lumark Minor, B/M born 1972 in the area of Borderline Rd. and Greenville Pike. He was arrested and charged with Arson Second Degree and Probation Violation/Revocation.

He is currently incarcerated in the Madison County Jail with No Bond. The case is pending further Investigation.

Subjects arrested on probable cause by the Madison County Sheriff’s Office and are presumed innocent until determined otherwise by the judicial system.”
