susieSusie “Sue” Blanch Jarmon Goodloe was born April 3, 1936, to the late Johnny (Shug) and Emma Kate Jarmon in Leighton, Alabama. She departed this life July 28, 2015, at Shoals Hospital, Sheffield, Alabama.
Sue confessed Christ at an early age and joined Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church, Leighton, Alabama, under the leadership of the Rev. William M. Ford. Years later, she united with Galilee Missionary Baptist Church, Leighton, Alabama, where she remained a faithful member until her death. She was a member of the Missionary Society.
She completed her elementary education at Mt. Pleasant Elementary School, Leighton, Alabama, and was a high school graduate of Leighton Training School in 1954.
Sue was united in holy matrimony to Willie Ed Goodloe Sr. who preceded her in death. She was left to rear her children as a single parent. She knew that education was the answer for them being successful. She worked and retired from Reynolds Metal Company for many years which provided her the means to help send her children to college.
Sue was preceded in death by Shug and Emma Kate Jarmon (parents), and siblings, Hightower Jarmon, Willie Albert Jarmon, Commorthy Jarmon, Alphonso Jarmon, Ira Lee “Freddie” Jarmon, Cornelia Jarmon, and Mattie Jarmon Russell.
She leaves to cherish her memories Theresia Goodloe, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Chiquita (Brian) Suggs, Madison, Alabama, Reginald (Brenda) Goodloe, Leighton, Alabama, Willie (Beverly) Goodloe, Knoxville, Tennessee, and Tomekia Goodloe, Huntsville, Alabama; eight grandchildren, Joshua Vinson, Atlanta, Georgia, Kortnie Goodloe, Tuscumbia, Alabama, Jamarcus “Quint” Goodloe, and Reginald “Reggie” Goodloe Jr., Leighton, Alabama, Maria and Chad Hardy, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Amaya and Shakara Goodloe, Knoxville, Tennessee; siblings, Oscar Earl (Revena) Jarmon, Tuscumbia, Alabama, and Cora B. Jarmon, Birmingham, Alabama; sisters-in-law, Lelia Jarmon, Callie Goodloe, Ola Lacewell, Lois Goins, Flora Goodloe, Carlene Roach, and Minnie Goodloe; and a host of nieces and nephews that were loved dearly.
