Susie Mae Hudson
Funeral services are Monday, October 14, 2013, at 10 a.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home Chapel with Dallas Culver and Patrick Cooley officiating. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service. There will also be a graveside service and burial Monday, October 14th, at 3 p.m. at Furnacehill Cemetery in Vernon.
Mrs. Hudson was preceded in death by her parents, David Sampson Lemons and Aquilla Maddox Lemons; husband, Gene Porter Hudson; two brothers, David Lemons and Phelix Earl Lemons; two sisters, Louise Coe and Martha Griffin. Mrs. Hudson was a home-maker and a member of the New Hope United Methodist Church in Vernon.
Mrs. Hudson is survived by her daughter, Linda Collins (Gary) of Trinity; brothers, Jerry Lemons and Charles Lemons; sisters, Sarah Fox, Audrey Ary, and Faye Dunn; grandchildren; Chet Collins (Kim) of Raleigh, NC, Kirk Collins (Tara), Brent Collins (Ashley), Brooks Collins (Sherrie) all of Decatur; nine great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be the grandsons and Everette Fox.
