Susan Wood, 68, of Athens; passed away Wednesday August 14, 2024 at Athens Health and Rehab. She was born November 24, 1955 in Ohio to Jesse Newport and Hazel Rogers Newport. She is preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Jim Newport.
Survivors include one daughter, Amanda Wood (Nathan Smith); one brother, Jesse Newport, Jr.; and one sister, Nancy Jarvis (Jim) and several nieces and nephews.
Susan loved crocheting and gardening.
A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
