Susan Smith Nesbitt Horton, age 56, of Sheffield, AL, died Tuesday, August 13, 2013. Her family will receive friends Wednesday, 6-8 at Morrison Funeral Home of Tuscumbia. Her funeral service will be Thursday, 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Larry Smart officiating. Burial will be in Colbert Memorial Gardens.
Susan was a native of Colbert County and was preceded in death by her father, Jimmy Ray “Super” Smith, and her daughter, Stephanie Ray Nesbitt.
She is survived by her husband, Chris Horton, her mother, Bobbie Bell Thomason Smith, daughters, Emilee Nesbitt, Baylee Nesbitt Mixon (Brian); brothers, Trevor “Bubba” Smith, Timothy “Butch” Smith, Arkie Smith(Debbie), grandchildren, Caleb and Caden Carmack, and Lakaylee Qualls.
Pallbearers are Carlis Carmack, Brian Mixon , Randy Nesbitt, Kevin “Goose” Thompson, Butch Horton and Danny Henson.
