Susan Renee Warren Taylor, age 55 of Jacksonville, passed away on Saturday, December 30, 2023. She is survived by her husband, Tony K. Taylor; sons, SSG Jason Trull (Heaven), SGT Casey Trull (Lexie), and Dr. Joshua Taylor (Sarah); daughter, Hannah Trull; mother, Ruby Warren; grandchildren, Josie Taylor, Colson Trull, Sophia Trull, Aubrey Taylor, and Warren Trull; siblings, Debbie Tomlinson (Chuck), Donna Shamblin, and Keith Warren (Dee); and nieces and nephews, Ben, Dan and Sam (Lauren) Tomlinson, and Paul (Lauren) and Rebecca Shamblin.
Renee was born on December 24, 1968, in Jacksonville, Alabama, to Ruby and the late Calvin Warren. She was a 1987 graduate of Jacksonville High School, and graduated in April of 2002 from Jacksonville State University where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice, receiving special honors. During her career, she was employed with the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office as a Deputy Sheriff, SAIC as a Tech Research Writer, and most recently, First Baptist Church of Jacksonville as Secretary.

Renee’s service will be held on Thursday, January 4, 2024, at First Baptist Church at EaglePoint, 301 Henry Road SW, Jacksonville, AL 36265. Visitation will be from 12 noon until 2 PM, with the service to follow.
