Susan Gardner Mullinax, age 68, of Gadsden, AL passed away on Monday, December 19, 2022. A funeral service will be held at 11:00AM on Thursday, December 22, 2022, at Collier-Butler Funeral Chapel. Blake Jones will officiate the service. Burial will follow at Williams Southside Cemetery. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services is in charge of arrangements.
Susan was born in Hixon, TN. She moved to Gadsden at the age of 2. At the age of 13 she moved back to Tennessee. She graduated from high school in Tullahoma, Tn. Susan was a college graduate from Middle Tennessee State University, receiving a B.S. in education. She taught for over 25 years in Gadsden.
She was preceded in death by her father, James C. Gardner; son, Matthew Mullinax; daughter, Amanda Jaggers; ex-husband, Mike Mullinax; and sister, Mary Gardner.
Susan is survived by her mother, Martha F. Gardner; brother, Wayne (Susan) Gardner; grandchildren, Grayson Jaggers and Jalyn Foster; and nieces and nephews, Greg Gardner, Holly Gardner, and Kevin Evans.
Memorials may be made to Rainbow City Church of Christ.
The family will accept friends from 9:30AM until the hour of the service at the funeral home.
