DODGE CITY-The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency reports a death from a single-vehicle accident that took place on Monday, January 17. The victim succumbed to his injuries on Thursday, January 20:
“A single-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 5 p.m. Monday, January 17, has claimed the life of a Sumiton man.
Edward Lynn Wright, 57, was killed when the 1997 Ford Explorer he was driving left the roadway, struck a culvert and overturned. Wright sustained serious injuries and was transported to UAB Hospital. Earlier Thursday, January 20, he succumbed to those injuries and was pronounced deceased by the hospital staff.
The crash occurred five miles west of Dodge City on Cullman County 109. Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.”
