Mrs. Sula Mae Fisher, 79, of Muscle Shoals, passed away Wednesday, May 22, 2013. Her family will receive friends Friday, May 24, from 1 until 3 p.m. at Colbert Memorial Chapel. The funeral will begin at 3 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Brett Pitman officiating. Burial will be in Colbert Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Fisher was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Rosa Wright; and a sister-in-law, Margie Fisher.
Mrs. Fisher was a lifelong resident of Colbert County and a retired Kindergarten teacher. She always loved to cook and also loved her flowers. She was a member of Highland Park Baptist Church and known by many as a wonderful caregiver.
She is survived by her husband, Clyde H. Fisher; daughter, Teresa Trousdale (Jackie); grandson, Bradley Trousdale; brother, Bobby Wright (Rosie); brother-in-law, Jerry L. Fisher; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Bobby Davis, Ricky Wright, Terry Fisher, Hillard South, Bob Rutherford and Jimmy Bratton.
Our family gives a special thanks to Dr. Doreen Morris and the doctors and staffs of the Shoals Hospital Intensive Care Unit and Emergency Room for the loving care given to our loved one.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Highland Park Baptist Building Fund in her memory.
