Funeral service for Sue Hawkins, 75, will be Saturday, July 8, 2023 at 1:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Ralph Henderson officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Douglas Cemetery in Marshall County. Visitation will be Saturday, July 8, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home.
Mrs. Hawkins died on Tuesday, July 4, 2023 at her residence. She was born July 31, 1947, in Morgan County, to John Ben Brinkley and Bessie Lois Oden Brinkley. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister, who never met a stranger. She was a member of the Soul Harbor Baptist Church and she loved flowers especially roses. She was employed by General Motors as a Machine Operator, prior to her retirement.
Preceding her in death were her husband: Ray Hawkins, parents: John and Bessie Brinkley, son: Johnathan Gaylon Garrison, and a granddaughter: Hannah Suggs.
