Sue Garner King, age 75, of Sheffield, died Monday, February 15, 2016. Her family will receive friends Friday, February 19th, 12-2 p.m. at York Terrace Baptist Church, Sheffield. The funeral service will follow in the church sanctuary at 2 p.m. with Rodney Shewbart officiating. Burial will be in Shoals Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. King was a native of Pulaski, TN but lived most of her life in in Sheffield. She was a member of York Terrace Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her husband of fifty eight years, Jim King; brothers, Frank Garner Jr., Charles Garner; sisters, Martha Ward, Alice Watts and Jo Ann Shettles.
She is survived by her son, Jimmy King of Sheffield; daughter, Kathy Robert (Eric) of Sheffield; brothers, Sammy Garner of Belgreen, Roger Garner of Florence and Herbert Garner of Sheffield; sister, Janet Fain of Sheffield; sister-in-law, Frances Walker of Muscle Shoals; grandchildren, Jeremy King (Leslie) of Alpharetta, GA, Justin King of Florence, Jacob King of Sheffield and several nieces and nephews.
