Sue Carolyn Mauldin, 83, passed away on Saturday, October 12, 2024. at the North Mississippi Medical Center. She was born April 9, 1941, in Itawamba County, to John Curtis and Eunice Gray Donald. She was a floater at Vend Foods. She was a member of River Hill Baptist Church. She loved yard sales, growing her flowers, her puppies, and mowing her yard. She enjoyed cooking breakfast for her grandchildren and was known for her pancakes.
Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 15, at the McNeece-Morris Chapel in Fulton with Bro. Ray Stevens officiating. Jamie Franks will deliver the eulogy. Burial will be in the Mt. Pleasant Methodist Church Cemetery in Tremont.
Survivors include one son, Johnny Rex Mauldin of Dorsey; two daughters, Alisha Lynn Coker (Kevin) of Shannon and Kim Murphree of Dorsey; one sister, Gayle Franks (Roger) of Mooreville; five grandchildren, Ashley Keith (Shawn), Trey Weaver (Jennifer Dye) , Brittany Dent (Trey), Whitney Samuell (Brian), and Brooklyn Murphree Sutterfield (Robert); twelve great grandchildren, Jase, Kullen, John Easton, Presleigh, Haven, Kale, Eliza, Andrew, Rosie, Keri, Morgan, and Airyonna; several nieces, nephews, and other extended family members.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Rex Wayne Mauldin; one son, John Wayne Mauldin; two brothers, Hoyt and Ray; 5 sisters, Imogene, Linda, Burma Lee, Francis, and Jonell; one great grandson, Braxton Dent; and her parents.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons and great grandsons.
Visitation will be Tuesday from noon until service time at McNeece-Morris Funeral Home in Fulton.
