Steven Wade Alred, 70, of Florence, passed away Friday, March 17, 2023. Visitation will be Saturday, March 25, from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. The funeral service will immediately follow in the funeral home chapel with Bubba Cole and Leanne Jeffreys officiating. Burial will be in Poplar Creek Cemetery.
Steven retired from Wise and was an avid outdoorsman and a member of the NRA. Having spent his youth on Lagrange Mountain, he enjoyed hiking, hunting, and fishing. He enjoyed hiking on the Appalachian trail, photography, and Alabama football. Steven was a proud American and was passionate about the American flag and instilled his patriotism in his children and grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Lee Jeffreys, sister, Peggy Drake; and grandparents, Claude and Beatrice Campbell. He was a member of the Baptist faith.
Steven is survived by his wife, Dee Alred; children, Stephanie Banks (Mark), Ashlie Davis, Cameron Cooper, and Madyson Cooper; grandchildren, John Mark Banks, Jackson Banks, Bentley Banks, Caden Davis, Connor Davis, Case Davis, and Ruth Hicks; mother, Helen Jeffreys; brother, Leon Jeffreys; and sisters, Diane Wilson and Deborah King (Dolphus).
Pallbearers will be John Mark Banks, Jackson Banks, Caden Davis, Randy Campbell, Ryan King, and Henry Blackburn.
