Steven Randolph “Randy” Bannister, 67 of Arab passed away Friday, May 17, 2024, at his residence. Randy was born February 4, 1957 in Birmingham, the son of Dalton Bannister and Virginia Madden Bannister. He was a graduate of J.B. Pennington High School Class of 1975 and a member of Shady Grove Missionary Baptist Church.
He is survived by his siblings: Barry Bannister (Wendy), Jeffrey Bannister (Deidra), David Guger (Rhonda) and Sherry Blackmon; host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents: Dalton Bannister, Virginia Bannister Guger and Bud Guger; nephew: Dalton Matthew Bannister.
Celebration of Life Service will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, May 26, 2024, at the Shady Grove Missionary Baptist Church. The family has chosen cremation, and he will be laid to rest alongside his parents at the Hopewell Cemetery, Gober Funeral Chapel assisting with these arrangements.
