Memorial service for Steven Oneal Basham, 59, of Somerville will be Saturday, June 8, 2013, at 2 p.m. at Austinville Church of Christ with Tim Sutton officiating and Roselawn Funeral Home directing. Visit- ation will be from noon to 2 p.m. at the church.
Mr. Basham, who died Sunday, June 2, 2013, at his residence, was born June 28, 1953, in Bowling Green, Ky., to Marion and Gerry Basham. He retired as an engineer for the U.S. Army. He was a member of the Church of Christ. Steven enjoyed camping, and was a soon-to-be grandfather to two granddaughters.
He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Phyllis Basham; two sons, Shane and Melanie of Huntsville and Shelby and Jessica of Madison; his parents, Marion and Gerry Basham of Bowling Green, Ky.; one brother, Gary Basham of Bowling Green, Ky.; one sister, Sharon Logsdon of Huff, Ky.; one granddaughter, Norah Jane Basham; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Honorary pallbearers will be Robert and Debra Allen, James and Linda Harrington, Eddie and Becky Higdon, Paul and Susan Rogers, Donnie and Linda Truett.
