Steven Jude Glassco, age 15 of Huntland, passed away on Sunday, August 20, 2023. A native of Franklin County, he was born on September 4, 2007, in Winchester. He was currently a student at Huntland High School and in middle school had played football. Jude had a kind and gentle nature that all who knew him loved, and he truly enjoyed helping others as well as taking care of animals. A true teenager, Jude enjoyed listening to music and playing video games, but he also enjoyed fixing things, swimming, and cooking. He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Jay Thomas Glassco and Juanita Smith Glassco; and great-uncle and name’s sake, Steve Earl Glassco. Jude is survived by his loving mother, Bonnie Glassco; dad, Dace Hinshaw; brother, Carter Lacey; grandparents, Gary Glassco, Kathryn Freeman, and Mike LaFevers; aunt, Carrie “Tete” (Issac) Glassco-Johnston, Jessica LaFevers, and Mary (Derek) Hane; and cousins, Harper Johnston, Oliver Hane, and Kannon LaFevers. Visitation will be from 5-8 pm Wednesday, August 23, 2023, at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be at 3:30 pm on Thursday, August 24, 2023, in the Chapel of Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Estill Springs Cemetery.
