Steven Don Kilgore, 68, of Jasper, passed away on Thursday, June 16, 2022, at his residence.

Family will be receiving friends on Thursday, June 23, 2022, from 10 until 11 a.m., at Kilgore-Green Funeral Home. Service will follow at 11 a.m., in the Kilgore-Green Chapel, with burial at Oakhill Cemetery. Bro. Steve Vernon will officiate.

Steve was a 1972 graduate of Walker High School and a 1976 graduate of Walker College. He was a 30-year employee of AT&T in the Redwood City and Pleasanton, California. He loved to travel all over the world from the North Pole in Alaska, the Great Wall of China, Cuba, Thailand Brazil, Peru, Mexico and others. Steve enjoyed ski diving, scuba diving and hang gliding. He believed to only put off to tomorrow what you are willing to die having left undone.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James Miller Kilgore and Marjorie Black Kilgore; grandparents, Dolphus Black and Velma Kiker Black.

He is survived by his brother, James E. Kilgore (Marilyn); nieces, Stephanie Hudson (Chris) of Frederick, CO, Jamie Foust (Vince) of Birmingham; great nieces, Frances Hudson and Amelia Foust; great nephew, Oliver Foust and a host of many other relatives and friends.
