F.9.5.24 Steven Amos.jpeg Steven Don Amos, 57, of Russellville, moved from this life to his heavenly reward on September 2, 2024.

He made sure he had a small army to continue his legacy, including his beloved wife, Bridgett Amos, and children, Jessica (Dustin) Burch, Hannah (Daryn) Raley, Heather (Chase) Shattles, Katie Amos, Tyler Tanner, Lilly Tanner, and Justin (Kelli) Amos. His greatest pride and joy was his grandbabies, Zoey Fuqua, Heidi Holt, Easton Shattles, Hudson Shattles, Rowyn Raley, Stevi Raley, and Logan Amos. He also preceded his beloved parents, Milton and Barbara Amos, many close uncles, aunts, cousins, brother and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews, and dear friends.

He was greeted in Heaven by his grandparents, Homer and Elease Amos, and Arthur and Katie Lane.

Daddy accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior at 12 years old, and his faith was the foundation of his life. He was a graduate of Colbert County High School. He attended Northwest Shoals Community College and then transferred to Auburn University, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Animal Health and Agriculture in 1989.

Daddy was called into the ministry in 1995 and ordained as a Pastor in 2000. Over the years, he held several pastoral roles at different churches. It was his greatest honor and privilege to lead others to Jesus.

He was a District Manager for Alabama Farmers Cooperative and made numerous dear friends during his many years with AFC.

Daddy loved to hunt, fish, watch Auburn football and westerns. He always said that God had to be an Auburn fan because sunsets are orange and blue. He had a strong work ethic and was always going out of his way to help others and take care of his family. He was a natural born leader, stubborn, but always strong and steady.

He will be missed everyday for the rest of our lives, but we know that until we join him, he will be fishing with Jesus and his Papaw in Heaven.

Pallbearers to be Jeff Amos, Jon Ford, Bryan Vandiver, Kyle Tyree, Dustin Burch, Chase Shattles, and Daryn Raley. Honorary Pallbearers are Tyler Tanner, Kevin Tyree, Ryan Woods, and Eric Sanders.

Officiating will be Bobby Amos and Greg (Kent) Walker.

Arrangements are as follows: Pinkard Funeral Home, 27305 AL Hwy 24, Russellville, AL 35653. Visitation Thursday, September 5th from 5-7 p.m. Funeral Friday, September 6th at 2 p.m. Burial will follow in Bethsaida Baptist Church, 10394 County Road 48, Russellville, AL 35654.
