Steven Biggs Crain, 66, of Ripley passed away Wednesday, March 1, 2023 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
Mr. Crain was a retired attorney. He graduated from Ripley High School where he played football and baseball. He attended the University of Tennessee where he played football for his beloved Vols and enjoyed campus life with his fraternity brothers. He went on to the Cecil C. Humphreys school of law in Memphis and practiced law for many years and was Ripley City attorney. Steve was a member of Ripley First United Methodist Church where he taught Sunday School and also where he was awarded Eagle Scout as a teenager.
He will be dearly missed by his parents Floyd and Joann Crain of Ripley; 2 sisters Temple Crain Stevenson (Gary) of Brentwood and Ellen Crain Thomison (Jim) of Signal Mountain, TN; a niece Sarah Temple Stevenson; a nephew Samuel Stevenson (Jessi) and their daughter Leah, all of Nashville.
Visitation will begin at 1 PM Sunday at Ripley First United Methodist Church with funeral services to follow at 3 PM. A private burial will be in Ripley Memorial Gardens. Garner Funeral Home of Ripley has charge of the services.
