Graveside Funeral service and interment for Steve Moore, 60, will be Wednesday, June 10, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Hartselle City Cemetery with Bro. Tom Salter officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. No Visitation is scheduled .
Mr. Moore died on Saturday, June 6, 2015 at Athens-Limestone Hospital. He was born June 14, 1954, in Morgan County to James Walter “Bud” Moore and Harriet Ann Holmes Moore. He was a self employed Carpenter and Builder. When he was an Sp5 in the HHC Support Battalion, he received an award for bravery from the Anchorage Chief of Police, Brian Porter, for the heroic act of pulling a victim out of a burning car in July of 1983. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister: Teresa Long.
In lieu of flowers, family requests donations be made to Alabama Diabetes Fund or to a “Hospice” of your choice.
