Steve Kirk – Obituary

Steve Kirk was born April 9, 1959 in Corinth, MS the son of the late Marion Clifford Kirk. He was united in marriage to Nancy Lee Kreiser on January 11, 1980. He was a retired welder and dozer owner operator.

Steve and Nancy lived in Rossville, TN prior to moving into their new home in 1999 that he personally built on the family farm on Sulphur Springs Road near Ramer, TN. He loved airplanes and had his private pilot license. He owned ultra lights and flew whenever possible until his health prevented him from flying. Steve was a jack-of-all-trades and could build anything he set his mind too. He built lakes and ponds for a living before retiring to build his and Nancy’s log house in the woods. He enjoyed fishing and also built a lake at the new home for family and friends to enjoy both fishing and swimming. His other interests included playing the banjo, guitar, and cooking bar-be-que. Steve was a member of Piperton Baptist Church. He departed this life on September 23, 2017 in his home at the age of 58 Years, 5 Months, 14 Days.

He is survived by his wife Nancy Lee Kirk of Ramer, TN; his self-adopted sister; Margie Thurmond; also Noah Harris, Who was like a son to Steve; his aunts, Linda Prather, Helen Wagster, and Addie Patrick; his greatest of friends, Joseph Kizer, Brian Saxton, and Ed Tomlinson.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, TN.
