Steve “Groundhog” Dill, 63, passed away Wednesday, January 8, 2025, at his home. He was born February 2, 1961 to the late Winfield Dill and the late Bessie Slay Dill in Tupelo. He was a member of Shiloh Community Church in Mantachie. Steve enjoyed sitting on his porch, watching Ole Miss sports and NASCAR, and spending time with his family and friends.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm on Sunday January 12, 2025, at Senter Funeral Home with Bro. Ronnie Hill, Bro. Joe Coggins, and Bro. Rickey Craig officiating. Burial will be in Mantachie Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Saturday January 11, at Senter Funeral Home.

He is survived by his wife, Virginia Dill of Mantachie; daughter, Amanda (Ricky) Franks; grandchildren, Abigail (Dwight) Alvis, Austin Caldwell, Summer Caldwell, John David Humphreys, Jennifer Humphreys, Dallen Gardner, Nicole Gardner, Devin Turner, and Dominic Turner; 3 great grandchildren; and a special brother, Jeff (Jan) Butler of Mantachie.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Winfield and Bessie Dill; brother, Gary Dill; 2 half brothers, and 3 half sisters.
Pallbearers will be Austin Caldwell, John Humphreys, Rickey Craig, Ricky Franks, Timothy Summers, Justin Simmons, Brandon Johnson, Jason Kennedy, Justin Kennedy, Taylor Johnson, Dustin Kennedy, and Glenn Kennedy.
