Steve Davis, age 66, of Leoma, TN passed away Friday, October 11, 2024, at his residence. He was a native of Morristown, TN, retired from Lawrenceburg Utility Systems, owner of Davis Workman Electric Service, and a former Tennessee Highway Patrolman. He was a former member of the Lawrenceburg Rotary Club and the 911 Board of Directors. Steve was an avid UT Football fan, enjoyed hunting and fishing, and loved cooking especially grilling.
He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Wanda Davis of Leoma, TN; his parents, Wesley and Ruth Lane of Kingsport, TN; one daughter, Melia McLain (Brandon) of Westpoint, TN; one son, Chase Davis of Leoma, TN; one brother, Jeff Davis of Knoxville, TN; one half-sister, Pam Gentry of Kingsport, TN; three grandchildren, Lindsay Toon (Austin) of Lawrenceburg, TN, Karlee McLain of Westpoint, TN, and Jess McLain of Westpoint, TN; one great-grandchild, Mac Toon of Lawrenceburg, TN; one niece; and one nephew.
Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM Sunday, October 13, 2024, at Neal Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at Neal Funeral Home at 11:00 AM Monday, October 14, 2024, with Jerry McLain officiating. Interment will follow at Lawrence County Memorial Gardens in Lawrenceburg, TN. The family suggests memorials be made to the Mark Fields Scholarship Fund.
