Steve Dabbs, 71, of Athens, Alabama, passed away on July 28th, 2023 at his residence. He was born on September 22nd, 1951, to James Louie Dabbs and Margie Juanita Colwell Dabbs.
Thomas Dabbs is survived by his wife of 50 years Ann Dabbs; his children Brent Dabbs(Tammy), and Angela Dabbs(William Ratley); 12 grandchildren Brittany(Brandon Scott), Amber(Blake Schmidt), Holly(Tyler Woods), Candice Harwell, Christina Ratley, Cody Harwell, Jordan Dean, Anna Dabbs, Amelia Alexander, Brittney(Wade Riggs), Aaron Watson, and Amanda(Travis Taylor); his 14 great-grandchildren Dashawn, Dayton, Kelsi, Eli, Sawyer, Abby, Hadlen, Bayleigh, Gracie, Bellamy, Dallas, Alex, Ave and Gauge; his 2 brothers Ronnie Dabbs and Jimmie Dabbs(Fon); and his 3 sisters Janice Rector, Jane Miller(David), and Kathy Dabbs(Christey).
He is preceded in death by his parents; his daughter Samantha Dabbs; 1 brother Ricky Dabbs; and 1 sister Patty Clinard.
Funeral services for Mr. Dabbs will be on Monday July 31st, 2023 at 11am at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with Brother Marshell Norman officiating the service. Visitation will be on Sunday July 30th, 2023 from 5pm-8pm at the funeral home. His pallbearers will be William Ratley, Sam Clem, Jeremy Mitchell, Cody Harwell, Jordan Dean, Lee Clem, Brandon Scott, and Blake Schmidt.
Steve loved his family, Alabama football, and was of the Baptist faith.
