Stephen Ray Hicks, age 64 of Springfield, passed away Sunday, September 1, 2024 at his home. He was born August 21, 1960 in Sikeston, MO to Edward Owen & Claudette Derickson Hicks. He was a factory worker or Gibson House Boats before his retirement. Mr. Hicks was an avid TN Titans fan. He also enjoyed NASCAR, dirt track racing and flying his remote control airplanes. He is preceded in death by his parents; granddaughter, Tori Hicks; sister, Debbie Allen; brother, Shannon Learue. He is survived by his loving wife, Patricia Briley, Springfield, TN; son, Stephen (Ame) Hicks, Orlinda, TN; brothers, Randy Hicks, and Artie (Tracy) Hicks, both of Sikeston, MO; sisters, Sondra (Terry) Aliston, Houston,TX and Darlene Hicks, Springfield, TN; 1 grandson, Thomas Hicks. Funeral service is scheduled for Wednesday, September 4, 2024 at 2pm in the chapel of Austin & Bell Funeral Home in White House with Michael Carter officiating. Interment will follow in Halltown Cemetery with former co-workers from Gibson House Boats serving as pallbearers. Visitation is planned for Wednesday, September 4, 2024 10am til 2pm at the funeral home.
