Stephen Gary Turner, age 56 of Pelham, passed away on Saturday, November 18, 2023. He was born on February 13, 1967, in Flint, Michigan, to the late Eddie P. Turner and Lillian Turner. Stephen graduated from Grundy County High School and played football for the Yellow Jackets from 1981-1985, making the All-State Team his junior year in 1984. He later served in the United States Navy and Navy Reserves and recently was a self-employed handyman. In his spare time, you could find him fishing or watching football. He greatly enjoyed his time with friends and was always ready to help them with anything they needed. Stephen is preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Lillian Turner; and brother Mike Turner. He is survived by his sister, Pam Turner; brother, Eddie Turner; sister, Amy Turner Wade; stepbrother, Steven Grayson; cousins, Lynn Ladd, Ruth Ladd, Kristy Turner, Terry Turner; niece, Ashley Scott; nephews, Jerry Scott, and Brian Turner; and many other relatives.
