Stephen D. Holt, 71, passed away Thursday, September 29, 2022. Steve was born July 3rd, 1951. He lived life to the fullest and took risks, went on adventures and he was always pushing things to the limits. He definitely marched to the beat of his own drum. He worked as a carpenter, electrician and on oil rigs in Texas. Steve loved riding his Harley motorcycles, his dogs Jesse and Tazz, enjoyed visiting with all his friends at 101 Trailor Park; especially Amy and Chris. Before departing from this life he accepted Jesus Christ as his savior. Steve would never tell people the people he loved “bye”, he would always say “later”. This is definitely not ‘goodbye’, it is ‘later’.

Visitation for Steve will be Tuesday, October 4th at Rogersville Funeral Home from 12-1 with funeral service following in the chapel. Burial will be held in Belew Cemetery. David Gregg will be officiating.

Steve is preceded in death by his parents, Ray Holt and Gloria Smith; paternal grandparents, Tom and Daisy Holt; maternal grandparents, Edgar Nichols and Gertrude Thompson; sister-in-law, Judy Holt. He is survived by sons, Tony (Karlee) Holt of Highland, Michigan and Daniel (Sandy) Stout; grandchildren, Emma Holt, Joe Daniel Stout, Savannah Stout and her twin sister Sandra (Wayne) Trousdale; sister, Sharon (Tracy) Zillof Florence, Alabama; brother, Stanley Holt of Waynesboro, Tennessee; friend, Tammy Smith; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family requests in lieu of flowers to make donations to Lauderdale County Animal Shelter.
