Stephen Bernard “Big Daddy” Frost, II, 60, of Toone, TN, passed from this life on Monday evening, September 23rd, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
The son of Bernard and Patricia Atkeison Frost, Stephen was a life-long resident of Hardeman County. A 1982 graduate of Bolivar Central High School, he worked over 35 years as a well-driller for Frost Well Supply, his family’s business and, was proud to be a farmer, as well.
On April 10, 2009, he was married to the former Cathy Hight. Together, they enjoyed navigating the Tennessee River on their boat and traveling to the Virgin Islands. Stephen, known to many as “Big Daddy”, liked riding the annual National Bird Dog Field Trials on Ames Plantation, cooking, competing in the Bolivar BBQ Blowout and, grilling steaks for his family and friends. Lastly, and certainly not least, Stephen loved his dogs, “Kate” and “Si”.
He leaves his wife, Cathy Frost of Toone; two sons, Dustin Frost (Loren Doyle) of Bolivar and Stephen Frost of Cookeville, TN; his parents, Bernard and Patricia Frost of Bolivar; step-daughter, Erin Holcomb (Craig) of Nashville; and, step-grandson, Charlie Holcomb.
Stephen was preceded in death by his sister, Paige Frost Lax, on June 13, 2020.
