Stephanie Kimble MoseleyStephanie Kimble Moseley
December 07, 1954 – October 17, 2021

Stephanie was born on December 07, 1954 to Henry Wayne Kimble and the late Ellen Jane Stephens Kimble. At a very early age, she displayed a wonderful gift for piano and grew that talent and shared it throughout her life. Affectionately known by her husband and friends as Steph, she began teaching piano at age 14, and continued teaching throughout all her school years and into her early parenting.

By way of scholarship and piano teaching, Stephanie paid her own way through college at the University of Tennessee at Martin where she received a Music Education Degree with a focus on piano. For 15 years, she put her degree and talent to use as an elementary school music teacher. She also served as a church pianist and organist, music leader, youth choir director, and a hand bell choir director during her adult life.

Her personal life story took up new roots in her teenage years. Steph met Mike in high school and they dated through college, marrying as soon as he graduated. They were a team for over 45 years and raised two wonderful children, Christopher and Sarah. She loved her children dearly and was so very proud of them; and she had such joy in being a grandmother to her seven grandchildren.

Steph and Mike had an avid interest in antiques which led her to open several shops over her later years – the last being The Lazy Daisy in Rock Island. She sold it on Mike’s retirement two years ago so they could begin a new phase of life together. Stephanie loved her family, friends, music, flowers and travel with a great passion. Those who knew and loved Stephanie found that she was fiercely loyal, giving, determined, and quick to smile. She will be missed terribly, and remembered always.

Per her wishes, Stephanie will be cremated and a memorial gathering honoring her life will be held at the family home (18 Admiral Lane, Rock Island, TN) on Saturday, October 30th from 2 PM to 4 PM. Friends are invited to come and go during that time for an informal visit and remembrance of this precious life. Her cherished loved ones who survive are her devoted husband Mike Moseley of Rock Island, father Henry Wayne Kimble of Union City, TN, children Christopher Moseley of Granville, OH and Sarah Moseley Stiles of Thompson’s Station, TN, sister Libby Kimble Nunnelee of Union City, TN, brother Mike Kimble of Shelby County, TN, and her precious grandchildren Noah Moseley, Owen Moseley, Ellie Moseley, Ezra Moseley, Oliver Stiles, August Stiles, and Pen Stiles.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society in Stephanie’s memory.
