Stella Mae Underwood Hammond passed into eternity Tuesday, March 26. She was a native of Franklin County, born March 1, 1933. She was a proud graduate of Rockwood Jr. High and of Russellville City School. She graduated from Larimore Business College and worked for Hibbett Sporting Goods as a bookkeeper and secretary. Later she worked for Diamond Shamrock Chemical Company as a secretary. After marriage, she worked briefly for Southern Sash. Married in 1957 to Roy, she devoted her life to her husband and their children. Their care was most important to her. We are grateful that she came into our lives.

Visitation will be Thursday from 5-7 p.m. at Rogersville Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Friday at 11 a.m. in the chapel with Richard Welch officiating. Burial will follow in Grassy Cemetery.

Survivors are husband, Roy, of Grassy; sons, Clay (Melanie), of Washington D.C., Russell, of Anderson; grandson, Christopher Hammond, of Germany; sister, Ann (John) Ford, of Russellville.

We want to thank Alacare Home Health care and most especially to Shauna Thomason, RN, for the care and friendship. Our life would have been most difficult if not for this lady.
