Stella Louise Brinkman Stella Louise Brinkman, 89, of Harvest, passed away Friday, August 30, 2024.

Stella was born in Springfield, Missouri the 8th of nine children born to Mary and Charles Gibson.  She was an avid sports fan. While in high school she was active player in all sports. She started the girls flag football team at her high school.  Later in St Louis, Missouri she worked as a telephone operator at Central Bell and McDonnell Douglas.  She worked at McDonnell Douglas during the time the Gemini and Apollo spacecrafts were built. While in St. Louis she met her husband Robert Edward Brinkman Sr on a blind date.  They moved the family to Corinth, Mississippi.  In Corinth she worked as a telephone operator at Southern Bell.  She finished her working career at McNairy County Hospital in Selmer, Tennessee.  While at the hospital she worked in the emergency room as a clerk.  After retiring she moved to Huntsville, Alabama to be nearer to some of her family.  While in Huntsville she became a loyal Alabama football and Atlanta Braves fan.  She was devoted to her family.  Her grandchildren were the love of her life.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, sisters and husband, Robert Edward Brinkman Sr.

Those to carry on her memory are her children Debra Ann Clarin (Paul), son Robert Edward Brinkman Jr. (Sharon), and son John Thomas Brinkman (Melissa), and five grandchildren Sarah Brinkman, Brittany Brinkman, Robert Edward Brinkman III (Bethany), Kaitlyn Williams (Connor), and Matthew Brinkman; and two great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Tuesday, September 3rd from 3:00 – 4:00 PM at Berryhill Funeral Home, followed by service at 4:00 with Matt Blitz officiating.  Burial will be Thursday, September 5th in Corinth National Cemetery in Corinth, MS.  She is to be buried at the Corinth National Cemetery with her husband.
