Stella Grace Furman, age 76 of Cowan, passed away on Saturday, October 30, 2021, at St Thomas Midtown Medical Center in Nashville. She was born in Makkovik, NFLD Canada on October 28, 1945, to the late Daniel and Gladys (Cove) Andersen. Stella Grace was a dedicated homemaker who lived her life full of love and laughter shown through her relationships with family and friends. An avid outdoorswoman, she enjoyed family camping trips in the great outdoors. She also enjoyed playing Bingo and slot machines at casinos. In addition to her parents, Stella Grace was preceded in death by her sister, Ellen Andersen. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of thirty years, Thomas Furman; sister, Sarah Morrow of St. Stephen, New Brunswick; children, Stefanie Furman of Florida, James (Kimberly) Furman of Florida, Bernadette (Stacey) Beckstead of Canada, Joanne (Ed) Samson of Canada, Joe (Tina) Anderson of Canada, Belinda Anderson (fiancé, Rob McGregor) of Canada, William Anderson of Canada, and Susan (Steve) Boundford of Gosport, England; twenty-one grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life Reception will be held on Friday, November 12, 2021 from 1-4pm in the Life Celebration Center at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or any veteran’s organization.
