MONTGOMERY-Students from around Alabama will gather at the Auburn University Montgomery campus May 1 for “SADD Day,” a day full of fun, learning and peer empowerment.
The SADD (Students Against Destructive Decisions) organization involves young people who deliver education and prevention messages to their peers through school- and community-wide activities and campaigns responsive to the needs of their particular communities.
The organization’s mission is to provide students with the best prevention tools possible to deal with the issues of underage drinking or other drug use, risky and impaired driving, and other destructive decisions.
In addition to presentations by several speakers, there will be performances by Alabama SADD chapter members. No registration fee will be charged for the event for students and their advisors, but individuals and chapters must pre-register to attend the event.
