DECATUR-Madison-Morgan County Drug Task Force along with the Decatur Police Department arrest one suspect on Drug Charges. Additional charges and arrests likely:
“Agents with the Madison-Morgan County HIDTA Drug Task Force (STAC), and Decatur Police Narcotics Officers have charged Jessie Sanchez of Decatur with drug trafficking. The arrest was the culmination of a lengthy investigation involving the trafficking of methamphetamine into Madison and Morgan counties.
Sanchez was arrested in Decatur after a search warrant was served. Agents and Officers recovered 17.5 ounces of methamphetamine (Ice), 2.1 ounces of cocaine, one stolen handgun, and $2,750 in cash. Sanchez is 
charged with Trafficking in Methamphetamine, Trafficking in Cocaine, and Carrying a Pistol without a Permit.
The investigation is ongoing and additional arrests and charges are possible.
