MCFARLAND PARK – Well, it was close one… The 36th edition of Florence’s Spirit of Freedom Festival almost didn’t happen after the official sponsor pulled out less than 2 weeks before the event. But thanks to Mayor Steve Holt and a whole slew of local businesses and civic-minded, private individuals, the event was saved. And that’s really a cool thing.
