Spielberg’s “Lincoln” to screen at Florence-Lauderdale Public Library

FLORENCE – THE SCREENING ROOM concludes its “Lincoln According to the Movies” miniseries with a special showing of Steven Spielberg’s Oscar-winning historical drama LINCOLN (2012) at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 25, at the Florence-Lauderdale Public Library, 350 N. Wood Ave., Florence, Alabama.

Daniel Day-Lewis earned the Academy Award as Best Actor for his performance in the title role. Scripted by Tony Kushner (and based in part on Doris Kearns Goodwin’s best-selling book TEAM OF RIVALS), Spielberg’s film co-stars Sally Field, Tommy Lee Jones, David Strathairn, Hal Holbrook, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, James Spader, Jackie Earl Haley, Bruce McGill, Tim Blake Nelson and Lukas Haas. Admission is free.
