Funeral service for Spencer Loyal Davis, age 77, of Hillsboro, will be 12:00 p.m. on Friday, June 7, 2024, at Parkway Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Marcus Lipscomb and Bro. Rex Riddle officiating. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to service at the funeral home. Interment will be in Midway Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Davis, who died Wednesday, June 5, 2024, at his residence, was born January 21, 1947, in Alabama to Billy L. Davis and Margie Marie Terry Davis. He was preceded in death by his son, Billy Clarence Davis; parents; brother, Raymon Davis (Elsie); and sister, Ruth Davis. He was a founding member of New Freedom Church.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia (Moore) Davis; three sons, Raymond Dale Kirk (Keri), Gary Ray Kirk (Amy), and James Paul Jordan (Leslie); three daughters, Tina Haynes (Keith), Wanda Jordan, and Amanda Patterson (Robert); three brothers, Larry Davis (Wanda), Danny “Mike” Davis, and James Davis (Kelly); three sisters, Jean Hill (Lester), Fay Hansen (Wayne), and Diane Bolton; eight grandchildren, McKinley K. Ferrell, Jessie Haynes (Lisa), Tyler Haynes (Miceala), C. S. Dotson, Blake Dotson, Kellie Walker (Leland), Kamie Grace Newton (Alex) and Tanner Jordan; and two great-grandchildren, Oaklyn Kirk and John Luke Walker.
Pallbearers will be Lance Ferrell, Isaac Sellers, Stacey Brown, Luke Phillips, Brian Gamble, and Jodie Glenn.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorial donations be made to the American Heart Association.
