Funeral for Skylar Brionna Cottingham, 17, of Moulton will be Thursday, June 27, 2013, at 11 a.m. at Parkway Funeral Home Chapel with Ron Rikard officiating. Burial will be in Cottingham Cemetery. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.
Skylar, who died Sunday, June 23, 2013, at Lawrence Medical Center, was born January 11, 1996, in Morgan County to Brandon and Angela Cottingham. She was a member of Pleasant Ridge Holy Church of Christ. There she was active in the youth group, “Impact Youth Ministries.” Skylar loved spending time with her family, hunting and fishing. She also enjoyed helping her grandpas work on cars. She loved taking pictures of all her friends and family, especially ones with her little cousins, whom she enjoyed babysitting.
Survivors include her parents, Brandon and Angela Cottingham; two sisters, Mercedes Cottingham and Brylie Cottingham; and her grandparents, Samuel Riley Kelly and Linda Kelly and Benny and Betty Cottingham, all of Moulton.
Pallbearers will be Dustin McLemore, Austin McLemore, Cody Smith, Patrick Smith, James Rush and Matthew Rikard.
