ETOWAH COUNTY-The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency reports a single-vehicle accident that has taken the life of one person:
“A single-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 2:30 p.m. Saturday, April 29, has claimed the life of a Hazel Green man.
Johnny R. Huff, 65, was fatally injured when the 2002 GMC Yukon that he was driving left the roadway, struck a culvert, went airborne, landed in a ravine and overturned. Huff was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The crash occurred on U.S. 278 near Rowan Drive, approximately five miles west of Attalla, in Etowah County.
Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.”
