Single-Vehicle Accident Takes The Life of 22-Year-Old Florence Man

LAUDERDALE COUNTY-On Friday, January 17 the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency issued a statement concerning the death of a Florence Man from a single-vehicle accident that occurred today:

“A one-vehicle crash at 2:15 p.m. today, January 17, 2020, has claimed the life of a Florence young adult.

Dakota Blake Buttrey, a 22-year-old male, was killed when the 2013 Kia Soul he was driving left the roadway, and struck a tree. Buttrey was pronounced dead at the scene. The crash occurred on Lauderdale County Road 8 near the intersection of the Natchez Trace Parkway, approximately 11 miles north of Florence.

Nothing further is available as Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate.”
