Single-Vehicle Accident Takes Life Of Decatur Man

DECATUR-The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency reports a single-vehicle accident near Decatur that has taken the life of one person:

“A single-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 1 a.m. Tuesday, September 19, has claimed the life of a Decatur man.

Anthony C. Williams, 39, was fatally injured when the 2016 Ford Escape that he was driving left the roadway, struck a rock embankment and entered the Tennessee River. Williams was not using a seat belt at the time of the crash and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The crash occurred on Rockhouse Road near Refuge Road, approximately four miles east of Decatur, in Limestone County.

Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.”
