Single-Vehicle Accident In Jackson County Takes Life Of Dutton Man

JACKSON COUNTY-The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency reports a single-vehicle accident has taken the life of one person near Dutton:

“A single-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 9:50 p.m. Saturday, February 8, has claimed the life of a Dutton man.

Jefferson B. Acosta, 33, was fatally injured when the 2007 Chevrolet Tahoe he was driving left the roadway, struck a tree and overturned. Acosta was not using a seat belt at the time of the crash, was ejected and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The crash occurred on Alabama 40 near the 5 mile marker, approximately two miles north of Dutton, in Jackson County.

Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.”
